In Brovary, not far from Kyiv, there was a plane crash, which killed the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of our state, civilians and many were wounded. Subsequently, the head of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine commented on the situation.
On the morning of January 18, an EU-225 Super Puma helicopter crashed in the Kyiv region, killing 14 people. The head of the Ministry of Health, Viktor Lyashko, on the air of the national telethon, noted how the doctors worked after the tragedy became known.
The wounded will be sent to Europe
According to Lyashko, since the morning, 5 emergency medical teams of the Kyiv Regional Center for Disaster Medicine and 2 more national-level teams belonging to the Center for Disaster Medicine of the Ministry of Health have been working at the scene.
A total of 28 victims were treated. At first, 24 people were hospitalized, but some were treated. They returned home, where they are under the supervision of family doctors. Now 15 people are hospitalized,” the minister stated.
In addition, he noted that 10 of these 15 people ended up in the Burn Center. Of these: six adults and four children. According to Lyashko, doctors are working to stabilize the condition of the wounded.
At the same time, in parallel, Ukraine is working to prepare documents and send victims abroad to European clinics. As the head of the Ministry of Health noted, this does not mean at all that our medical institutions are somehow worse. Actually, we have all the necessary medicines to treat the victims, in particular, Albumin against burns.
