Political scientist criticized shameful parade in Moscow/Channel 24 collage
Russian dictator Vladimir Putin could not demonstrate any special victories in the “parade on the bones” in Moscow. Suppressed by defeat, he languidly spoke to his citizens.
There are several reasons for this. Ukrainian political scientist Mykola Davydyuk told Channel 24 about this.
Unborn veterans: who did Putin surround himself with at the parade
The political scientist noted that at the parade itself, unknown generals or “drunks who came to eat free barley” were sitting next to the Kremlin head.
You can't call these people veterans. During the war, they didn't even exist as people at all. Dress up some actors who are 60 years old. They were born 15 years after the war,” says Davidyuk.
As he added, this demonstrates that the world is integral with Ukraine, and those “actors and alcoholics” are with Putin.
Why the parade in Moscow is really shameful
According to him, the main reason is that Putin did not go for an even greater escalation of the situation. This is because, on the eve of peace, the victory of Ukraine was very tangible:
- even the first lady of the United States of America was in Uzhhorod;
- Canadian President Justin Trudeau was in Borodyanka and Irpen ;
- Norwegian and German Parliament Sockers in Kyiv met with the Ukrainian government;
- The G7 met with Ukrainian leaders.
All this suggests that the West and Ukraine were able to “outplay” Putin on May 9, demonstrating that the whole world is with us,” Davydyuk explained.
How was the parade near the aggressor state
- On May 9, military parades were held in Russia. The remnants of equipment and personnel were dragged to Red Square to show imaginary pomposity. This action can also be called a “parade of shame” or a holiday on the bones.
- Putin's parade in Moscow is a parade of military underdogs. Even the Russians themselves admit this. Yes, the SBU intercepted another conversation of infidels. It shows the mood of the Russians. It is said that the parade is “disgraceful, but there is no work.”
- By the way, there was no air show in the sky either in Moscow or in other cities. The official reason given to the Russians was bad weather. Since it's sunny in most major cities, this leads to some reflections. The fact is that everyone understands that in fact, due to losses in Ukraine, the aggressor state probably has nothing to show.
- Analysts assumed that Putin at the parade could officially declare war on Ukraine and mobilization, but this did not happen.
The reaction of Ukraine
The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has already reacted to the Moscow parade. They stressed that the aggressor had brought rapists and marauders to the square. This is a propaganda show, it definitely has nothing to do with the victory in World War II.
