How many bodies of the military were taken out of Mariupol/General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
More than 400 military bodies were brought to Ukraine from Mariupol. These are the dead defenders who gave their lives for their Motherland.

Ukrainian authorities are actively working to return the dead soldiers. This was stated by Oleg Kotenko, Commissioner for Missing Persons.
We work on this issue every week. We have indeed taken a lot of bodies already. More than 400 bodies of the defenders of Azovstal, the Ilyich plant, were taken from Mariupol. The mechanism is working, Kotenko assured.
Ukraine returns the bodies of dead soldiers
On August 9, 17 bodies of Azovstal defenders were returned to Ukraine, and 26 July – 25 tel. The process of returning the bodies takes place in accordance with the norms of the Geneva Convention. To identify the bodies, relatives take a DNA test. The bodies of the defenders end up in the morgues of Kyiv, Kharkov or the Dnieper. In addition, it is planned to create a morgue in Zaporozhye.
