Prosecutor General Irina Venediktova said on the air of the national telethon that she allowed his possible further exchange. At the same time, Ukraine will strictly comply with the laws, Channel 24 reports.

At the same time, Venediktova immediately emphasized that she did not want to interfere in the exchange processes. After all, these issues are political and diplomatic.

“I want to remain in my competence as a prosecutor and talk about the objective things of criminal justice. Ukraine will move purely in the legal field under the standards of international humanitarian law,” Venediktova explained.

The Shishimarin Case

  • Vadim Shishimarin became the first Russian military man convicted in Ukraine for atrocities against our people. The investigation established that he killed a 62-year-old resident of the Sumy region during the occupation. Our Armed Forces of Ukraine defeated the Russians and during the flight he committed a murder. Poitm was hiding with 4 other Russian military men. As a result, he surrendered to local residents, and he was handed over to law enforcement agencies.
