Ukraine continues to say goodbye to what the Soviet Union left behind. So, in Kyiv, finally, the monument to the Soviet pilot Valery Chkalov was dismantled.
Thus, in the capital there was one less mention of the bloody regime. The Chkalov monument itself will go not for scrap, but to the museum. But we will talk about this later.
There will be fewer Soviet monuments
Communal services workers from the Shevchenkovsky district worked on the dismantling of the monument. To remove the monument dedicated to Chkalov, five people worked, a car with a crane, and a truck.
The monument itself will not be thrown into a landfill. It will replenish the exposition of the Aviation Museum of Ukraine named after Antonov. The corresponding decision was made by the Kyiv City Council.

Minister of Culture Alexander Tkachenko has already responded to the dismantling of the monument to Chkalov.
Next in line are other monuments to Russian figures who have no place in the public space of Ukraine. The dismantling of the monument to Vatutin has already been agreed upon,” he stressed.
As for the monument to Nikolai Vatutin, then it should be dismantled on February 9. But that's not all. Tkachenko noted that the KSCA should also determine the place where the monument to Nikolai Shchors will be moved. Once a decision is made, it will be implemented.
And while bronze references to the Soviet military are being dismantled in the capital, our defenders and defenders are engaged in other “dismantling”. Every day they courageously defend Ukraine and destroy the enemy.
The losses of the Russians are staggering
- In the past 24 hours alone, 910 Russian invaders were sent to the next world. If we talk about the total losses from the very beginning of a full-scale invasion, then they are even more striking. There are at least 134,100 enemies who have joined the ranks of the 200th.
- Important moment! Enemy casualty statistics can be staggering. And all because it is simply impossible to accurately calculate the liquidated invaders in the zones of active hostilities.
- Note that the enemy also lost a lot of their equipment.< strong> 3,253 tanks, 6,458 armored combat vehicles, 2,236 artillery systems, 461 MLRS, 228 air defense systems have already been turned into scrap metal The Russian army also has 295 aircraft, 285 helicopters, 1,961 operational-tactical UAVs, 796 cruise missiles, 18 ships, 5,112 vehicles and tankers, and 211 smaller pieces of special equipment.
