Naftogaz Tariffs

On April 23, the gas supply company Naftogaz of Ukraine announced the extension of the Fixed tariff plan for another year – from May 1, 2024 to April 30, 2025 inclusive.

This decision was made by the company in accordance with the moratorium on price increases.

According to the head of the Naftogaz Group, Alexey Chernyshev, the company acts in the national interests, therefore, in conditions of war and a difficult economic situation, it must support Ukrainians.

Thus from May 1, 2024, a cubic meter of gas for the company’s clients is (which is 12 million households, that is, 98% of household consumers in Ukraine) and in the future it will cost 7.96 UAH (including VAT).

Tariffs of other gas supply companies

Tariffs of other 11 gas supply companies, according to the GazPravda review, range from 7.70 to 9.99 UAH.

For nine of them, like Naftogaz, the cost of a cubic meter of blue fuel will remain unchanged until the end of April 2025.

Only in the Era of People and Galneftegaz, the annual price will be valid until the end of August 2024.

By the way, as Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmigal noted, according to the resolution adopted by the Cabinet of Ministers in April, until the end of summer the preferential gas price for suppliers of heat and hot water for the population will be maintained.

Light tariffs from May 1

On April 26, the Cabinet of Ministers extended until May 31 the provisions on imposing special responsibilities on participants in the electricity market.

Therefore, the preferential price for electricity for the population remains unchanged – from May 1, the electricity tariff will also be 2.64 UAH per kW/h.

Water tariffs from May 1

The National Commission, which carries out state regulation in the fields of energy and utilities, has not set new water prices since May 1.

However, it should be taken into account that water tariffs for each water utility vary.

Prices depend on access to water resources, cost of electricity, reagents, etc.

Therefore, detailed information about water tariffs should be obtained from suppliers.

It should be noted that after May 1 and the end of the heating season, certain categories of the population will have the right to receive subsidies in Ukraine.
