Light tariffs from June 1

Electricity tariffs should change from June 1.

According to Energy Minister German Galushchenko, the final decision on the size of new electricity tariffs for household consumers will be announced before the end of May.

According to him, when establishing new tariffs, a differentiated approach will most likely be used, so the price will depend on the volume of electricity consumed.

Final calculations are currently ongoing regarding the size of new electricity tariffs for the population and, as a consequence, additional budget revenues and financial balancing of the energy market after such an increase.

At the moment, the current tariff of 2.64 UAH per kW/h, the Minister of Energy assures, does not cover the cost of electricity production.

Gas tariffs from June 1

Gas tariffs from June 1 for 12 million households connected to the Fixed tariff plan of Naftogaz of Ukraine (that is, for 98% of household consumers in Ukraine) will remain unchanged – 7.96 UAH (including VAT) per cubic meter of gas.

This price will remain until April 30, 2025 inclusive.

Gas tariffs from June 1 for consumers of other 11 gas supply companies, according to GazPravda, will range from 7.70 to 9.99 UAH.

For nine of them, like Naftogaz, the cost of a cubic meter of blue fuel will remain unchanged until the end of April 2025.

The annual price in the Era for People and Galneftegaz will be valid until the end of August 2024.

We would like to remind you that until the end of summer, according to the resolution adopted by the Cabinet of Ministers in April, the preferential gas price for suppliers of heat and hot water for the population will be maintained.

Water tariffs from June 1

As reported by the National Commission that carries out state regulation in the fields of energy and utilities (NCREKU), water tariffs for the population from June 1 will remain no changes, that is, at the level that was as of February 24, 2022.

The situation is different in those communities where local authorities increase water tariffs without agreement with the National Regulatory Commission for Energy and Energy Regulations.

For example, in Smela, Cherkasy region, since May 2024, consumers have been paying tariffs that the executive committee of the city council increased for the second time during a full-scale war.

Therefore, consumers should find out detailed information about water tariffs from suppliers, because each water utility has different prices (the cost depends on access to water resources, the cost of electricity, reagents, etc.).

Meanwhile, at a meeting on May 8, NEURC proposed to establish new water tariffs from June 1 for non-domestic consumers.
