Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky spoke on the phone with Oleksandr Usyk about his detention.
– I was outraged by such an attitude towards our citizen and champion. I instructed the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andriy Sybiga and the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Igor Klymenko to immediately look into all the details of the incident at the Krakow airport. As soon as I was informed that everything was fine, our champion was released and no one is detaining him anymore, the president wrote on his Telegram.

The Consul General of Ukraine in Krakow urgently left for the airport to clarify the circumstances, Foreign Ministry spokesman Georgy Tykhyi reported.
He noted that Ukraine categorically does not accept the attitude towards its citizen and champion demonstrated in the video.
– In addition, Minister Andriy Sybiha will already contact his Polish counterpart to immediately resolve this situation. The Minister also instructed the Consul General to express protest and indignation at such an attitude, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

Oleksandr Usyk himself briefly described the situation with his detention at the Polish airport in Krakow. According to him, it was a misunderstanding.
