The U.S. state Department published a report “the bases of Russian ecosystems of disinformation and propaganda,” in which the United States authorities describe how Russia creates false information. It is reported by RIA Novosti.
According to the document, for propaganda in Russia used media with state funding. So, as examples of disinformation are the titles of these publications and TV channels, as Sputnik, RIA Novosti, RT, channel one, “Russia 24”. According to the United States, as a framework of Moscow propaganda uses the global broadcasting and social network.
In the state Department believe that Russia intends to use information as a weapon and cultivates the appropriate tactics. The United States emphasize that they will resist this approach.
Earlier, the US announced a reward for information about Russian interference in the elections. According to Secretary Mike Pompeo, it will amount to ten million dollars. The program of the state Department’s “Reward for justice” implies a reward for the identification or detection of criminals, which by order or under the control of foreign governments to influence U.S. elections.
