The Pentagon said that the US military will train a group of Ukrainian artillerymen to handle American howitzers. In particular, Joe Biden promised to transfer these weapons to Ukraine.
A corresponding statement was made public at a briefing by Pentagon spokesman John Kirby. It happened on April 18 – on the 54th day of the full-scale war that Russia launched against Ukraine.

We believe that we can begin the process of training the Ukrainian military howitzers… The exercises will take place outside of Ukraine, Kirby explained.
However, the Pentagon spokesman did not say where and when the exercises would take place. No matter who said who will conduct them. He only assured that it “is unlikely to last much time.”
By the way, on April 13, Joe Biden announced that he would announce the allocation of another $750 million to Ukraine for military needs. At the same time, in order for the Ukrainian army to receive weapons sooner, this will be done by a special decision.
Then, Reuters sources said that the new aid package would presumably include heavy ground-based artillery systems, including howitzers.
