Note that this is the first tranche of direct budget support from the United States in 2024 year.

The planned volume of financial aid from the United States for the current year reaches 7.8 billion dollars. That is, by the end of the year, Ukraine should receive another $3.9 billion.

Where will the $3.9 billion from the US be directed

The funds raised will be used to pay salaries to teachers, emergency response service employees (SES), and government employees.

Some of the funds will also be used to support priority social spending (assistance payments to internally displaced persons, low-income families, and people with disabilities).

It is noted that the funds will be received within the framework of the project “Support for government spending to ensure sustainable public administration in Ukraine” (PEACE in Ukraine).

This project has already attracted more than 25 billion US dollars to the state budget of Ukraine since June 2022.

This agreement will increase the volume of budget support under the project to almost 30 billion US dollars, of which more than 80% are funds from the United States.
