Discussions regarding the use of long-range weapons by allies in Russia have been ongoing for a long time. The United States will not change its decisions on this issue.

This was stated by White House National Security Adviser John Kirby, writes Reuters.

Long-range missile strikes on Russia

Amid talks between US President Joe Biden and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, John Kirby said that US policy regarding strikes on Russian territory will not change.

I would not expect a statement about Ukraine using long-range weapons on Russian territory, the Biden administration adviser said.

He added that the White House “perceives “Seriously” Vladimir Putin's warning that allowing long-range missile strikes would be “direct participation” of NATO in the war against Russia.

Note that during a visit to Ukraine, Secretary of State Antony Blinken said that the US position needs to be adjusted given the changes on the battlefield. In particular, the reason cited was Iran's transfer of short-range Fath-360 ballistic missiles to Russia. Blinken called this an escalation.
