Saturday's strikes marked the first time the U.S. Air Force has used the 13-ton bomb, called the GBU-57 Massive Ordnance Penetrator, in combat, which is designed to destroy bunkers.

The American B-2 bombers that struck Iranian nuclear sites early Sunday flew nonstop for about 37 hours from their base in Missouri, refueling several times in mid-air, a U.S. official said on condition of anonymity.
