Russians are facing punishment for crimes committed in Ukraine. The Americans made a big step towards the meeting, once again showing the pro-Ukrainian position in the international arena.
Military expert Oleg Zhdanov told Channel 24 about this. According to him, Russia is waiting for the fate of Germany during the Second World War.
What are the similarities between Russia and Germany
Oleg Zhdanov explained that on February 18, an official statement was made from the United States that, based on a detailed analysis of the behavior of the Russian military on the territory of Ukraine, the United States from now on will use the term ” crime against humanity”,
The same was said about Nazi Germany, he stressed.
However, it was discussed in this context after the Nuremberg trials. As for Russia, everything happened much faster: even before the Hague Tribunal.
Russia commits crimes against humanity on the territory of Ukraine.

Oleg Zhdanov said that the definition proposed by the Americans emphasizes the scale of human suffering caused by Moscow to the civilian population.
“This definition also reflects the U.S. stepping up to hold Russian military forces and other senior officials accountable for brutality against the people of Ukraine,” he explained.
According to the military expert, the term “crime against humanity” will be supported by all Western countries.
The most important thing is that these crimes cannot go unpunished, that is, whether there will be a tribunal or not, it doesn’t matter anymore,” he explained.
Zhdanov added that this indicates that all Russian pilots, artillerymen, infantry shooting down Ukrainians demolishing cities will be convicted as war criminals.
“The United States will seek justice for the people for as long as necessary,” he said.
This is a positive signal for Ukraine.
