US sees no signs of a 'major new Russian mobilization'/Word and Deed
Russia is experiencing great problems with the formation of forces in order to achieve its goal – to reach the administrative borders of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions. Despite the shortage of manpower, there are no signs of a “great new Russian mobilization”.
This was stated by the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW), citing a senior official from the US Department of Defense.
A US official said the US is not seeing any sign of a “major new Russian mobilization.” He added that there are currently 97 battalion tactical groups in Ukraine. However, they are constantly moving and leaving Ukraine for refitting and resupply, indicating that Russian troops continue to suffer significant losses in combat.
At the same time, in ISW noted that members of Wagner's private military company “urgently” invited hundreds of thousands of additional military personnel to strengthen Russia's efforts in the Donbass.
