The US Embassy has resumed work
—The U.S. Embassy in Kyiv temporarily changed its hours of operation on November 20 due to a report of a highly probable air attack. The Embassy remains open and continues to operate, — the message says.
The embassy recommended that all US citizens “follow the instructions of local authorities in the event of an air raid alarm and immediately seek shelter after receiving the appropriate warning”.

Suspension of work of the US embassy
Before this, the American embassy in Kyiv announced that it was temporarily suspending work due to the threat of massive shelling from the terrorist state of Russia.
Along with the US diplomatic mission, Spain, Italy and Greece temporarily closed their embassies in Ukraine, explaining this with the same motivation as Americans.
In parallel with this, throughout November 20, messages were spreading on the Internet that Russia was allegedly planning to launch a massive shelling attack on Ukraine, which would have a “special” character. These rumors were allegedly spread on behalf of Ukrainian intelligence, however, the Main Intelligence Directorate later denied this information, calling it fake.
Already in the evening, President Volodymyr Zelensky pointed out that the spread of such rumors and fakes, as well as the escalation of tension and panic among Ukrainians, plays into the hands of only Russia.
The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, reacting to the suspension of the embassies, also called this action only adding to the “information escalation”.
