The US is considering purchasing weapons for the Ukrainian Armed Forces using frozen Russian assets: Kellogg explained Trump's position Margarita Voloshina

US President Donald Trump does not deny the possibility of purchasing American weapons for Ukraine using frozen Russian assets. This issue is currently being discussed in Washington.

This information was provided by Keith Kellogg, US President Donald Trump's Special Representative for Ukraine. This was reported by 24 Channel with reference to his interview with Fox News.

What Kellogg said about purchasing weapons

As Keith Kellogg says, in his opinion, Donald Trump understands that providing weapons to Kyiv is an important point, but there are other problems.

Answering a question about the possibility of Ukraine using Russian assets to purchase American weapons, Trump's special representative indicated that “this is a topic for discussion.” However, he expressed doubts that “this will solve the problem.”

We have repeatedly spoken about using frozen Russian assets to purchase American weapons… And this will be discussed with the president, Kellogg assured.

Recall that Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesman Georgy Tykhyi said that, despite Trump's decree, military aid from the United States continues to arrive on time. He also noted that U.S. support for Ukraine is strategically important for Washington as well.
