The Kyiv metro operates from 06:00 to 23:00. The approximate interval between trains on all lines on weekdays is 05:00-05:30 minutes, during rush hour the interval between trains is 2-3 minutes. On weekends, the interval between trains is 6-7 minutes.

Trains on the blue line operate between the stations Geroev Dnepra – Lybidska, and between the stations Teremki – Demeevska, there is a shuttle service of trains with an interval of 13 and 17 minutes, depending on the direction of travel.

Does the metro operate during an air raid alarm

Underground stations of the Kyiv metro operate around the clock in shelter mode.

Access to the station during curfew (from 00:00 to 05:00) during an air raid alarm is as follows:

  • When entering the metro, it is mandatory to have an identity document as a shelter;
  • Access to the stations for shelter is provided by law enforcement officers. The police contact is located at the entrance. You can also call the duty officer using the bell near the front door.

All these stations are provided with:

  • drinking water (special fountains located on the station platforms);
  • sanitary facilities;
  • ventilation systems;
  • additional seats, blankets and mattresses;
  • mobile Internet connection 4G.

Note that it is cool at the stations, so you should take warm clothes and blankets with you.
