In the battles for Ukraine, 34-year-old fighter Yaroslav Novikov died. He fought near the village of Belogorovka, Luhansk region.
The Kryvyi Rih regional state administration noted that he died, showing stamina and courage. The hero comes from the village of Shirokoye, Dnepropetrovsk region.
What is known about the death of the Hero
Yaroslav Novikov was born on April 30, 1988. That is, this year the Ukrainian defender was supposed to turn 35 years old.
Yaroslav, as a real husband and courageous warrior, fulfilled his civic duty with honor, continuing to drive the enemy out of Ukraine together with his brothers. The entire Krivoy Rog district shares the grief of relatives and friends, – the administration said.
They added that Novikov was a courageous warrior and, until his last breath, did everything possible to expel the Russian invaders from his native land. The head of the Krivoy Rog regional military administration, Yevgeny Sitnichenko, expressed sincere condolences to the relatives and friends of the fallen defender.
“This is an unfair and irreparable loss for parental hearts, for everyone who knew and respected the young Hero, sharing the grief of our community. This cruel war deprived the young man of the opportunity to realize his dreams, to go through a long life path full of joy and success, the opportunity to see Ukraine free, took her life… But Heroes don't die,” Sitnichenko said.

He noted that his feat is forever inscribed in the history of our Victory.

Legendary Dmitry “Da Vinci” Kotsyubaylo died near Bakhmut
In the battles near Bakhmut, the legendary Ukrainian military Dmitry Kotsyubaylo died. The 27-year-old commander was the first volunteer who, during his lifetime, received the Order of the Golden Star, the highest state award given to the Heroes of Ukraine.
Vladimir Zelensky announced the death of the Hero. The President of Ukraine noted that Dmitry Kotsyubaylo died on March 7 in the battles near Bakhmut.
Subsequently, the brothers said that there were shelling, many explosions. After that, they began to look for a doctor.

We prayed until the very end. You were the bravest, most reckless person we have ever known. You seemed immortal,” wrote military photographer Konstantin Liberov.
Farewell to the Hero will take place on March 9 in the village of Bovshev, native to the warrior, in the House of Culture, and after that – in the Church. The deceased soldier will be buried on March 10 in Kyiv.
