Kazansky about the fate of Donbass and Crimea/Collage of Channel 24
Before the full-scale invasion, there was a feeling that the situation with Donbass and Crimea would be very difficult to resolve. Now there is a belief that in the foreseeable future Ukraine will resume control over these territories.

This opinion was expressed by Ukrainian journalist and blogger from Donetsk Denis Kazansky on Channel 24. According to him, 2 years ago he felt that the situation in the Donbass was turning into a “Transnistrian scenario”, when the conflict could drag on for a decade.
After Russia brutally attacked and failed to realize its plans, there is a belief that in the coming years Ukraine will be able to expel the occupiers from both Donbass and Crimea.
Russia cannot win this war
According to him, now Russia has actually found itself in international isolation and has no serious successes at the front. They are blocked from receiving money, and the economy is gradually declining.
They cannot quickly and in large quantities produce high-tech weapons, which are quickly spent in war. At the same time, Ukraine is getting help from the West.
Putin believed in the illusion that he could repeat something like the “Crimean scenario” : there would be no resistance, and he would transform Ukraine to the second Belarus. But nothing happened. It is impossible to crush 40 million people who cannot stand Russian infidels.
When this scenario was destroyed, and it was destroyed in the early days, it was a defeat. It can be extended over time. Maybe not today. The defeat occurred precisely when the Ukrainian army did not run away, but began to defend itself; when Zelensky didn’t run away,” Kazansky noted.
The journalist recalled how Putin, in hysterics, began to record a video message to the Ukrainian military to lay down their arms. It was very funny.
Kazansky believes that Russia will be forced to sit down at the negotiating table and leave Ukraine . If earlier the Russians could still somehow resolve the issue with the Crimea and Donbass, now nothing will come of it. Already in the foreseeable future, the journalist is sure, Ukraine will resume control over the territories occupied since 2014.
Let's add that residents of the temporarily occupied Donbass massively complain about the Russian military. Dissatisfied with both patriotic-minded people and “quilted jackets”. the Russian military loot en masse, destroy houses and even demolish walls, driving into foreign territory with their tanks.
