Head of the regional military administration Pavel Kirilenko spoke about the situation in the Donetsk region on the air of the national telethon. Everything is complicated along the front line, shelling does not stop, channel 24 reports.

The invaders want to move the front line
Kirilenko said that the Russians are trying to move the front line. One of the main directions is Avdiivske.
“In fact, in the city, as the head of the local military administration reported, there probably wasn’t a single building left that hadn’t been hit. The degrees of damage are different, but in fact every building is damaged. This Donetsk direction and the capture of Avdiivka makes it possible for the enemy to advance further towards Konstantinovka,” Kirilenko said.
The head of the UVA assured that the Ukrainian side understands the plans of the enemy. The Armed Forces of Ukraine carry out their respective combat missions, then the General Staff will report on the achievements.
At the same time, the Liman direction is a direct exit to Slavyansk and Kramatorsk. This is perhaps the most important goal of the Russians, to capture two key cities and in the future already establish control over the entire region.
As Kirilenko noted, they postponed these plans many times, but the Armed Forces of Ukraine also clearly understand what needs to be done, despite the fact that the situation is extremely complicated.
The situation in Donbass
- The most intense fighting is currently going on in the region. The enemy continues an active offensive in the Donetsk direction, firing at our military from various weapons. The weapons are heavy, the Russians want to go to the borders of the Luhansk and Donetsk regions in order to declare this a “victory”.
- They are attacking other regions as well. In particular, Kharkiv region suffers from shelling. On the night of May 30, Tsirkuns fell into enemy fire. It was known about the wounded. In the Kharkiv region, battles are also being fought to push the enemy to the border.
- It is very difficult in the Lugansk region now. The head of the OVA Serhiy Gaidai believes that Ukraine will have enough weapons at the end of June. From now on, it will be possible to talk about a counteroffensive and the return of territories. However, some foreign weapons are already fighting in the Luhansk region. According to Gaidai, she copes well with the Russian occupiers.
