The Russian military does not stop trying to fulfill the plan set by Putin. But they don't succeed. On the battlefield, they suffer insane losses, although they constantly attack.
As noted in the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, over the past day the enemy carried out several dozen attacks. All of them were repulsed by units of the Defense Forces. Stubborn battles continue in Donbas.
Occupiers rush but suffer defeat
The Russian military continues to focus its efforts on the offensive in Kupyansky, Limansky, Bakhmutsky , Avdeevsky and Miner direction. During February 24, our defenders managed to repulse about 70 attacks in these directions.
What is the situation in other directions
- Volynsky, Polessky, Seversky, Slobozhansky. There, the operational situation has not changed significantly. Near the state border, the invaders continue to maintain their presence. At the same time, the formation of offensive groups was not recorded.
- With all that, the invaders from mortars and artillery fired at the settlements of Mikhalchyn Sloboda of the Chernihiv region; Yunakovka, Vodology and Boyaro-Lezhachi of the Sumy region, as well as districts of 23 settlements in the Kharkiv region, among them: Lemishchino, Aleksandrovka, Staritsa, Volchansk, Olkhovatka, Ogurtsovo and Bologovka.
- Kupyansky and Limansky . There, the invaders tried to improve their tactical position in the Masyutovka area. In addition, they tried to drive our defenders out of the Serebryansky forestry. Artillery fired on areas of 17 settlements. Among them are Gryanikovka, Kupyansk and Berestovo in the Kharkiv region and Stelmakhovka, Makeevka, Dibrova and Belogorovka in the Luhansk region.
- Bakhmut direction.Unsuccessful attacks were carried out by the occupiers near Berkhovka, Ivanovsky and Northern Donbass. They actively used aerial reconnaissance to correct artillery fire. 16 settlements were shelled. Among them are Disputed, Veseloe, Ivanovskoye, Bakhmut, Kurdyumovka and Ozaryanovka of the Donetsk region.
- Avdeevsky and Shakhtersky.They also recorded unsuccessful offensive operations in the areas of Pervomaisky, Nevelskoye, Marinka. Artillery hit 17 settlements. Among them are Avdiivka, Vodyanoye, Prechistovka, Maryinka, Ugledar and Bolshaya Novoselka.
- Zaporozhye direction. 20 settlements came under enemy fire. Among them are Vremovka and Novopol in the Donetsk region and Olgovskoye, Gulyaipole, Orekhov and Belogorye in Zaporozhye.
- Kherson direction. 34 settlements of the Kherson region were fired from artillery. In particular, Dudchany, Berislav, Sadovoye, Kachkarovka, Antonovka and Kherson suffered.
Terrorizing the civilian population
Unfortunately, the occupiers continue atrocities in the temporarily occupied territories. It is known that in the occupied part of the Kherson region, enemies search the houses of civilians. They seize boats and other watercraft. The General Staff noticed that the invaders used to do something similar when they were preparing to leave the right bank and for sabotage.
The invaders destroyed more than 80% of the housing stock of Mariupol. And now they are cynically offering those who remained in the city to get new housing. They want to settle in new buildings in the vicinity of the city, which the Russians themselves destroyed. True, no one is going to give housing just like that. The occupiers demand to have documents for destroyed housing with them. But it is extremely difficult to have them for those whose houses literally burned to the ground along with everything that was inside.
Meanwhile forced mobilization continues in Chechnya.That is why on February 23, up to 200 police officers from the Akhmat special forces regiment were sent to the Bakhmut direction. The enemies did this in order to prevent possible desertion of mobilized or sabotage.
The enemy continues to suffer losses
- Over the past day, units defense destroyed 1 attack helicopter Mi-24 and 4 enemy UAVs: 1 type “Orlan-10”, 1 – “Zala” and 2 – “Lancet-3”.
- Ukrainian aviation did its job effectively. She inflicted 20 strikes on areas of accumulation of manpower and equipment of the enemy. And 2 more hits hit the anti-aircraft missile systems of the invaders at the firing position.
- But the artillerymen and rocket launchers were able to hit the command post, 2 areas of accumulation of the occupying manpower and 3 more ammunition depots.
- Note that as of the morning of February 24, 146,820 Russian invaders were destroyed. And this number can be much higher, because it is impossible to accurately calculate the losses in the zones of active hostilities.
