The US and NATO suggested that Russia could use chemical weapons on the territory of Ukraine. The Alliance will provide us with protection against this attack. This really should not be ruled out.
This was said by Vadim Denisenko, adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs, on Channel 24. He stressed that theoretically possible chemical attacks have been discussed since the first day of the war.
We very much hope that this will not happen. They cannot fail to understand that this will further worsen their lives and the situation in Russia.
Will Russia decide
Despite the fact that the consequences for Russia after such a step are obvious, it is difficult to understand what is in the minds of the Russians.
Will they do it? This is the same as we will discuss whether there will be a nuclear strike. Unfortunately, it is impossible to exclude this, – Denisenko noted.
The peculiarity of chemical weapons
According to the adviser, a chemical attack does not happen like missile strikes.
“Here, a lot depends on the direction of the wind, the strength of these blows,” Denisenko stressed.
There is a high probability that chemical weapons will not work as the occupiers can plan.
