The UN Security Council will hold a meeting dedicated to 1,000 days of Russia's war against Ukraine Margarita Voloshina

The United States will hold a high-level meeting on the 1st thousandth anniversary of the full-scale war in Ukraine, which Russia started on February 24, 2022. The event will be addressed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.

The event will be held on the afternoon of Monday, November 18. This was reported by 24 Channel with reference to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, which published a press release on this matter.

Sibiha to speak at UN Security Council

The head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry will speak at a special high-level meeting of the UN Security Council against the backdrop of increasing Russian aggression and terror. This important event, convened at the initiative of Ukraine by Great Britain, which currently chairs the UN Security Council, will draw the world's attention to Russia's ongoing aggression against Ukraine, the report says.

It will be chaired by British Foreign Secretary David Lemmy. As noted by the Foreign Ministry, during the visit, the Ukrainian minister will also hold a number of bilateral meetings in New York with the aim of strengthening support for Ukraine.

Interestingly, the Russian delegation blocked approval of the Security Council's schedule for November precisely because of the planned consideration of the Ukrainian issue. However, this should not prevent the Council from holding a meeting outside the schedule at the request of member states.
