Ukraine convened an emergency meeting on July 9 UN Security Council due to the attack on the Okhmatdyt children's hospital in Kyiv. The Russian side, as expected, tried to deny the deliberate hit on the medical facility.

Moreover, Russia cynically blamed Ukraine for the attack on Okhmatdyt . The permanent representative of Russia in the organization, Vasily Nebenzya, spoke about this during a meeting of the UN Security Council, reports Channel 24.

What the Russian permanent representative to the UN said about the attack on Okhmatdyt

The Russian permanent representative to the UN began his statement by saying that Western partners Ukraine allegedly did not see the “detailed analysis of what happened,” from which it is clearly visible, according to Russian propaganda, that the hospital was allegedly hit by a Ukrainian air defense missile.

In addition, Nebenzya accused the Western allies of trying to justify the “Kiev regime” by essentially telling the truth about the Russian attack on a children’s medical facility.

For us, this meeting is an opportunity to tell the truth about what happened. But the truth, as we know, is not of interest to our Western colleagues,” the Russian representative said cynically.

During his speech, Nebenzya compared the attack on the Okhmatdyt hospital with the “provocations” in Bucha and Mariupol, which were also staged by the Russians. According to the Russian permanent representative, Ukraine’s allies “tried to wishful thinking, condemning the allegedly targeted strike of the Russian armed forces on a children’s medical facility.”
