Head of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umerov at the last moment canceled his visit to France planned for January 18 “for security reasons”.
This is reported by Le Monde with reference to the French Ministry of Defense.
It is indicated that Umerov, together with his French colleague Sebastian Lecornu, was supposed to take part in the launch of the artillery coalition. The Ukrainian minister will join the events via video link.

Lecornu and Umerov were also scheduled to visit the Nexter plant in Bourges, where the Caesar self-propelled gun is produced, as well as the MBDA rocket ship site in Celle-Saint-Denis.
Earlier, the head of the French Ministry of Defense announced that Paris would produce 78 Caesar self-propelled artillery units for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
