In Ukraine and in the Ramstein partner states, the implementation of a program of joint production of weapons with the participation of international allies is beginning.
This was announced by Defense Minister Rustem Umerov.
Ukraine and partners launch weapons production program
According to the minister, Ukraine has unique experience in waging modern warfare and has effective examples of its own weapons and military equipment.

Ukraine can also test these developments in real combat conditions.
— Soon, Ukrainian manufacturers of weapons and military equipment will receive a special legal and tax regime that will allow them to quickly scale up and modernize production, as well as build new capacities, the minister emphasized.
A key element of the program will be the creation of new production sites and factories – both on Ukrainian territory and in the member countries of the Ramstein Defense Contact Group.
Umerov emphasized that until the end of the war, all products manufactured under the new program will be supplied exclusively to the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
“This is a new type of military-industrial cooperation, where Ukraine is an equal partner and player in the global defense market,” the minister said.
On July 1, the Ministry of Defense, together with the Parliamentary Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy, presented the main provisions of four new bills to defense industry enterprises.
These documents provide for changes to tax, customs and budget legislation, as well as to the Criminal Code, with the aim of supporting the industry and increasing the level of safety in production.
As Umerov noted, the Verkhovna Rada should hold the first vote on this package of legislative initiatives already in July.
Let us recall that during the upcoming negotiations with the EU, Volodymyr Zelensky plans to pay special attention to the issues of investing in arms production in Ukraine.
In particular, we are talking about the development of long-range drones, interceptor drones and other high-tech equipment.
