Ukrtelecom restored Internet access in 90% of the settlements of the Kiev region/Free Radio
Emergency recovery work was carried out in several settlements of the Kyiv region, in particular in the most affected – Bucha, Irpin, Gostomel, Makarov, Ivankov, etc.
We have already managed to restore Internet access in 90% of settlements. More than 750 technological sites of Ukrtelecom, including those that were damaged due to active hostilities, are already operating.
All restoration work is coordinated with the pyrotechnic units of the State Emergency Service, which clear mines from the liberated cities and villages after the Russian invaders .
Communications in other regions
Ukrainian telecom companies resume communications in the liberated northern regions of Ukraine. The operator's coverage has already appeared in the settlements of the Chernihiv region.
In general, in Ukraine, Internet access services are available in 85% of settlements, and telephony services – in 95%. At the same time, communication is unavailable in the Lugansk region.
Ukrtelecom also reported that a multichannel number was connected in the Volyn and Donetsk regions to forward calls to emergency numbers 101 and 112. Therefore, in a critical situation, rescuers will receive a call and come to the aid of those in need.
In the Poltava region, internally displaced persons as a result of Russian aggression have access to SMS-informing about the addresses of points for issuing food packages in Mirgorod.
Add that the occupiers are in territories establish control over telephone networks and the Internet. In the Kharkiv region, Russians are already installing equipment for the Russian operator MegaFon.
