From July 9 to July 24, NEC Ukrenergo will not measure the actual level of consumption in each region. Therefore, blackout schedules will be in effect during these two weeks without exception.
Lights out schedules in Ukraine
Tomorrow, July 9, restrictions will be in effect for 24 hours for all regions of Ukraine, Ukrenergo reported.
According to the forecast, from 05:00 to 14:00 regional power companies will apply two stages of shutdown schedules, from 16:00 to 22:00 — four queues of shutdown schedules, during the remaining hours — three lines.

Ukrenergo previously planned to measure actual consumption levels, so blackouts were to be canceled for each region on a specific day during these two weeks.
Reason for cancellation — a significant power shortage in the energy system and an increase in consumption due to the heat, noted in Ukrenergo.
Therefore, Ukrenergo cancels measurements during the specified period. In such conditions, oblenergos will not be able to adhere to the principle of uniform consumption limitation, the company noted.
At the same time, Ukrenergo announced that routine measurements in the summer will be carried out later, when the situation in the power system allows and the air temperature decreases.
Carrying out measurements is necessary in order to more evenly and accurately ensure the distribution of the power available in the system between regions, explained the NEC Ukrenergo.
