During a massive missile strike on March 9, the invaders damaged the last line that fed the ZNPP. Consequently, the station was completely de-energized.
With their barbaric actions, the occupiers are putting the world on the brink of a nuclear catastrophe. Power engineers reported that in case of untimely connection of the station to electricity, an accident could occur with radiation consequences for the whole world.
Our power engineers managed to heal the ZNPP
As of 03:30 p.m., Ukrenergo specialists resumed the power supply to the Zaporozhye NPP, interrupted by missile strikes.
They also noted that ZNPP is switching from diesel generators to receiving electricity for its own needs from the United Energy System of Ukraine.
Recall that after the Russian attack, 49 states applied to the IAEA Board of Directors. The countries call for an end to the shelling of Ukrainian energy facilities and note the importance of resuming control over our state over all nuclear facilities within internationally recognized borders. After all, this will ensure their safety and protected work.
In addition, international delegations insist on bringing Russia to justice for its repeated neglect of the principles of nuclear safety. Ukraine is grateful to partners for practical steps and calls for further sanctions.
