Ukravtodor resumed communication between Kyiv and Poltava/Screenshot from video
Alexander Kubrakov said that in the Kyiv region near the village of Borshchev, a road was built next to the destroyed bridge. Communications between the capital and Poltava have been resumed.
The head of the Ministry of Infrastructure noted that the temporary bypass corresponds to the parameters of a third category road and is designed not only for cars, but also for trucks.
This is critically important, because the M-03 Kyiv-Poltava highway is one of the key ones in the country, – Alexander Kubrakov emphasized.
According to him, in the shortest possible time, the road builders:
- 7 culverts were laid across the Trubezh River;
- the soil was reinforced with a geotextile grid;
- a crushed stone-sand mixture was arranged on a layer of sand;
- on top – an asphalt concrete coating;
- set the appropriate characters.
The Minister of Infrastructure pointed out that while a full-scale war is going on in the country, logistics links in the liberated territories are being established thanks to temporary detours and crossings.
Alexander Kubrakov explained that they not only ensure the delivery of goods to the affected corners, but also help to establish and restore the vital activity of the settlements that the Ukrainian military managed to dismiss from the Russian occupation.
In the Kiev region, it was possible to resume traffic at all crossings, except for those in need of mine clearance.

Connection of Gostomel and Bucha with Kyiv
In the area of Gostomel on April 29, a crossing was opened on the highway M-07 Kyiv – Kovel – Yagotin. It will provide transport links between Kyiv, Gostomel and Bucha across the Irpin River.
Cars, trucks and buses can run along the route. The crossing not only facilitated the movement of citizens, but will revive the economic life of the region.
It was planned to restore the railway bridge
It was planned to restore railroad bridge. The railway workers of the Lviv bridge-building train, as well as specialists from the State Special Service of Transport, were involved in the work.
Within a few weeks, grillages and temporary supports were being arranged. Next is the installation of the span structure. The restoration of the bridge will allow Ukrzaliznytsia to return railway communication with a number of satellite cities of Kyiv. The process had to be completed by May 8th.
