Ukrainians will be able to share driver's licenses and technical passports for cars from the Diya app to the Polish mObywatel app. This will be possible thanks to the cross-state sharing service, Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov and State Secretary for Digitalization of Poland Janusz Cieszynski said at a briefing.
Ukraine and Poland launches cross-state sharing: what is known about it
Cross-state document sharing will ensure international recognition of electronic documents in Diy. According to Janusz Cieszynski, the sharing functionality is already ready and it remains to settle the legislative issues. According to him, the service will be operational before the end of the year.
This is the first case in the EU when two states make an interesting exchange of a new format with the sharing of documents from one electronic state application to another. This opens up great opportunities for us in the European Union. After all, the areas of electronic documents in the European Union are now being studied and we are involved in working groups that deal with this issue, Fedorov noted.

When the full-scale invasion began, few in the world expected Ukraine's digital infrastructure to work, the official said. After all, cyberattacks and the destruction of the information structure are the first step in a physical invasion.
But everything we did three years before we built our digital infrastructure and what we did in the direction of data protection – all this allowed us not only to protect ourselves, work stably, but also launch new services almost every week,” he said.

According to the minister, Ukraine would not have been able to maintain this stability without the help of partners from different European countries and from all over the world. The official noted that digital teams and ministries have begun to be created in European countries.
At the start of the war, the Minister of Digital Transformation or other positions in charge of digitalization in the EU, become reliable partners and friends on whom we can rely during the war,” he added.

According to Fedorov, an important step in cooperation with Poland took place during transferring registry databases to the cloud or abroad. This was done so that the infrastructure of Ukraine could work stably during the war.
We were able to open and store tax data in Poland in the Data Center. Through this process, we can be sure that everything will be fine with this data and it will be saved,” he stressed.
After that, Poland launched mObywatel in its country. Now Ukrainians who are in Poland during the war can get a temporary residence permit in a mobile application and use it there. Citizens of Ukraine can also cross the border within the EU according to this document.
