I want to reiterate two important things: the cause of the war and the essence of victory. The reason for the war lies not in the Russian-speaking regions of Ukraine, not in the behavior of NATO, and not in certain actions of certain Ukrainian presidents.
Abyss of war
By saying this, we are repeating the theses of Russian propaganda. Lately, Russia has been at war in Georgia and Syria, where no one spoke Russian and no one provoked.
The only reason for the war is that the empire is alive as long as it expands. As soon as it stops, it starts to crumble. This is relevant not only for the Russian empire, but for all empires of modern times.
There is no free space for expansion, so the only way is to capture independent neighbors, as the Nazi Reich did. Ukraine is the most valuable resource nearby, and empires consider everything around as a resource. They have no friends, they have food.
Victory has no compromises
Victory is not about simply driving Russian soldiers “over the curb” “, providing the empire with a comfortable respite before the next wave of aggression. The victory is that the empire will never again pose a threat to the existence of Ukraine. We cannot fight in every generation.
Therefore, all the talk about “first victory, and then the fight against corruption”, “first victory, and then judicial reform”, “first victory, and then economic freedom”, “first victory, then culture” – all these talks are a dangerous mistake.
Without the fight against corruption, without judicial reform, without economic freedom, without culture, etc. there will simply be no victory. After all, to win you need allies, money and an image of a future country where you want to live and where you need to return.
