A volunteer project “Volunteer construction battalions” was launched in the Kyiv region.
Volunteers help the units of the State Emergency Service in search work, in particular, the analysis of rubble on the ground and gradually begin the restoration of areas destroyed by Russian troops. Victor Andrusiv, the founder of Dobrobat, spoke in more detail about the Channel 24 initiative.
What is the essence of the project
It is interesting that this initiative was launched a few weeks ago. The founder shared that he did not expect so many volunteers to respond.
Now we have over 25 thousand people who are ready to help, Andrusov said.
< p>He explained that the essence of the initiative is very simple – they gather volunteers who can come to cities or towns that have survived the occupation and help with primary work there:
- to sort out the rubble;
- restore windows;
- roofs and so on;
Anything that will allow people to return to life in these communities. It should be noted that these cities have already been cleared of mines and are safe to carry out this work.
In which regions can I join
In particular, today you can take part in assistance in the Kiev region – Bucha, Irpen, Vorzel, Gostomel, Borodyanka, the village of Zagaltsy. However, not all districts can join volunteering yet. Currently, the State Emergency Service continues demining in the Kyiv region.
Help is also needed in the Chernivtsi region and the city itself, as well as the Sumy region, in particular Lebedin and Trostyanets.
