Yermak announced when HIMARS will arrive in Ukraine/Channel 24 Collage
Ukrainian military is completing training on HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems. Soon they will start working on the side of Ukraine.
This was stated by Head of the Office of the President Andriy Yermak. Previously, long-range weapons were the subject of active discussion in the Western media. The United States and its allies expressed concern that if the MLRS were handed over to Kyiv, Ukrainian forces would open fire on Russian territory.
Yermak confirmed the Pentagon's information
According to Yermak, the rocket artillery system should arrive in Ukraine before the end of June.
According to official information, HIMARS should be in Ukraine this month . Our warriors have completed their training. The Armed Forces of Ukraine will have powerful MLRS,” he wrote.
Recall that the day before, US Army Commander-in-Chief Mark Milley said that by the end of the month, the HIMARS system, ammunition and trained crew for operational use would arrive in Ukraine. In addition, the US provided training:
- 420 Ukrainians on M777 howitzers,
- 300 Ukrainians on M109 self-propelled howitzers,
- 129 Ukrainians on M113 armored personnel carriers,
- 100 Ukrainians on drones,
- 60 on HIMARS.
During the CNAS National Security Conference, Under Secretary of Defense for Political Affairs Colin Cole added that this is only the “initial” tranche of HIMARS systems. He also confirmed that military assistance from the United States will continue to come.
At the end of May, it was said about the delivery of 4 systems, but now neither Ukrainian nor American officials give the exact number.
HIMARS transfer in Ukraine: the main thing
- Deputy Secretary of Defense for Policy Colin Cole said that in order to ensure the speedy delivery of HIMARS to Ukraine, the Pentagon has previously deployed these systems in Europe, awaiting a final decision from US President Joe Biden.

- People's Deputy, representative of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence, Fyodor Venislavsky noted that the United States will transfer HIMARS and MLRS multiple launch rocket systems to Ukraine. He said that, of course, our state needs more of them, however, even the number that is sent to us today will strengthen the Ukrainian military.
