This was reported by The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, noting that the Cabinet of Ministers adopted a corresponding resolution.

— We not only provide our military with the necessary care, but also work to ensure that each of them feels supported and respected. This initiative is our response to their dedication and courage, — he said.
Nutrition of Ukrainian military according to NATO standards
According to the updated standards, meals in civilian hospitals for military personnel will be based on a specially developed ration. It defines the list of products, their quantity and weight, required per day by one soldier, taking into account the specific needs of the body during recovery.
The increased need for proteins, vitamins and calories necessary for the treatment of wounds or diseases will be taken into account.
— The cost of such food is calculated on the basis of a special Product Catalogue approved by the Ministry of Defense. This Catalogue contains current prices for products, and they are taken into account when determining the cost of food for one bed-day in medical institutions, — the Deputy Minister explained.
He noted that this ensures that every serviceman will receive proper nutrition for a quick recovery.
In addition, the Cabinet of Ministers' resolution provides for a clear mechanism for compensating expenses of civilian medical institutions, which will help maintain high service standards.
The new financing mechanism provides for the conclusion of a standard contract that will ensure transparent compensation for expenses on improved nutrition. Thus, civilian medical institutions will have proper funding, and military personnel — quality treatment and rehabilitation.
By the way, in September the Ministry of Defense conducted a comprehensive inspection of nutrition in military units in the northern, eastern and southern directions.
