The Ukrainian luge team won bronze at the World Cup stage in the Latvian city of Sigulda.
For Ukrainian lugers, this is the first award in the mixed relay in the entire history of performances at the World Cup.

At the stage, the Ukrainian team was represented by: singles Yulianna Tunitska, Andriy Mandziya, doubles Igor Goy with Nazariy Kachmar and Olena Stetskiv with Alexandra Mokh.

The Ukrainians made it to the podium, becoming one of three teams that managed to complete the entire distance and finish. At the same time, four teams left the track early.
The German team won gold at the stage, and Austria took second place and silver.
After the first two stages, the blue and yellow are in third place in the overall standings with 120 points, behind only Germany and Austria, who have 185 points each.
It should be noted that for Ukrainian Andriy Mandzia, this is already the second medal of the season after he became third in the single scull at the Nations Cup level in December.
In general, for the Ukrainian team in the entire history of luge performances, this is the ninth award at the World Cup stages, but the first in the relay. The last time Ukrainians stood on the podium of the CS was in 2008.
