Ukrainian shooter Serhiy Kulish qualified for the final of men's air rifle shooting in three positions at a distance of 50 meters.

To get into the final, the Ukrainian had to get into the top eight. The competition format included two series in three body positions (kneeling, prone, standing) with ten shots each.

Sergey Kulish showed the best result in shooting on the knee and in the prone position. He scored 199 out of 200 possible points in each of these positions.
In the first series of shooting standing, Kulish also scored 199 out of 200 possible points, but in the second he hit the eight once and the nine twice, so in the end he earned 194 points in the last series.
Overall Kulish earned 592 points in the qualification and came in third. He is only two points behind the first in the table Chinese – Liu Yukun has 594 points. The second place in the qualification is held by the Norwegian John-Herman Hegg (593).
Thus, Kulish has qualified for the second time in a row at the Olympics in the 50m rifle three-position shooting Sergey Kulish. At the 2020 Tokyo Games, he showed the sixth result in the qualification.
The final of the competition in shooting from an air rifle in three positions at a distance of 50 meters will be held on July 1.
It should be noted that earlier Sergey Kulish was unable to pass the qualification in shooting from an air rifle at a distance of 10 meters, where he took 27th place.
