According to him, there is good news – the AFU destroyed the pontoon crossing in Belogorovka.

What is the situation near Popasna
The head of the Lugansk OVA stressed that near Popasna there are no breakthroughs by the occupiers, our defenders are holding the defense in new positions. “Reinforcements have already arrived. We will gradually protect local settlements,” he added.
What is the situation in Rubizhne
Gaidai noted that Rubizhne also has good results. The day before, on May 8, the Armed Forces of Ukraine liquidated five Russian tanks, about 20 infidels and wounded many. The defenders hold the defense there tightly.
Russian soldiers used to enter Voevodovka near Severodonetsk, we knocked them out. And now our Armed Forces have entered there, they are holding the defense, the village is completely ours, – he assured.
The head of the Lugansk OVA also noted that there were no Russians in Severodonetsk. It is fully controlled by the Armed Forces. “The only thing is that the infidels will “throw” the city with artillery, Tornadoes and Grads, but their legs are not there,” he added.
About the evacuation of Ukrainians from the Luhansk region
Sergei Gaidai said that more than 40 thousand people still remain in the free Luhansk region. The evacuation will resume after the cleansing of Belogorovka.
“Today we stopped the evacuation because there are dangerous battles. The shelling was from Liman to Bakhmut, where we are taking people by buses for evacuation. I hope that in the coming days we will resume the evacuation,” he said.
