Ukrainian analogues of Lancet have passed the first tests – Fedorov

by alex

A few days ago, Ukrainian drones were tested — Lancet analogues — from four companies. Two of them were successful. Next up — tests directly on the battlefield.

This was announced by the Deputy Prime Minister — Minister of Digital Transformation Mikhail Fedorov on the Diya channel on YouTube.

According to him, the tests took place in difficult weather conditions — there was rain, snow and wind, but two out of four hit the target.

Fedorov admitted that it is difficult to make a forecast regarding the timing of when mass production of these kamikaze drones might begin, but believes that it is a matter of several months.

— It is difficult for manufacturers to reach 1,000 quickly enough, but hundreds can be produced in a few months, — he said.

The head of the Ministry of Digital Development says that this is a fairly technological product, so it was impossible to launch it right away, first it was necessary to launch the market.

— 2-3 products will appear on the market that compete with each other, in a year there will be a dozen such companies, — says the Deputy Prime Minister.

Fedorov on the advantages of Lancets

— The lancet allows you to increase the range of destruction of equipment, it works at 30-40 km, FPV drones only work at 10-20 km. Therefore, it is important for us to create an analogue of the Lancet — drone that is capable of striking at 40 km and can operate during the day, like an FPV. Because large copters can only operate at night, — he explained

Also, according to him, these UAVs are controlled by a video channel, which allows you to direct and correct movement while hitting a target, and they also have a target acquisition function, which allows you to aim at the target in the last 300-500 m before hitting without direct communication with the drone.
