During a massive missile attack on February 10, two Russian Kalibr cruise missiles crossed Romanian airspace. The Armed Forces of Ukraine deliberately decided not to shoot them down in the space of foreign states.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny confirmed that at first the missiles crossed the state border of Ukraine with the Republic of Moldova. And already approximately at 10:33 these missiles crossed the airspace of Romania.

Today, February 10, at 10:18, two Russian cruise missiles “Caliber” crossed the State border of Ukraine with the Republic of Moldova. At approximately 10:33 these missiles crossed Romanian airspace. After that, they again entered the airspace of Ukraine at the point of intersection of the borders of three states,” he wrote. Yuriy Ignat, the speaker of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Yuriy Ignat, said on Channel 24 that the air force had the ability to shoot down these enemy missiles, but they understood the risks and threats to the population of a foreign state, so they did not do it right away.

Note that Russia is not the first time staged such a provocation in violation of the airspace of foreign countries. Previously, similar incidents were recorded on the territory of Moldova.

However, we are talking about Romania, which is a NATO member country.
