Russia attacked Ukraine, began to destroy not only the civilian population, but also the infrastructure. Consequently, the economic extermination of our country began.
Industrial enterprises became one of the accents of the blows of the Russian invaders. According to the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmygal, more than 30% of enterprises that created more than 50% of GDP are located in the areas where hostilities are taking place.
“Now during hostilities we lose from 35% to 50% GDP. This is a blow to the economy,” the head of government said.
Every day of the war only increases the damage. Shmyhal emphasizes that the final calculations will have to be made after our victory.
“If we talk about the calculations of the Ministry of Finance for budget losses, then Ukraine's losses amount to about 2 billion hryvnias a day. If we talk about infrastructure losses, then for During the month of the war, they tentatively amounted to $119 billion, that is, $4.25 billion daily,” Shmygal said.
However, Ukraine's expenses also increased due to the war. Consequently, the total losses due to the war unleashed by the Russians are much higher.
“If you add here military losses and increased military and social spending, support programs, losses of the economy and enterprises, then we are talking about 565 billion dollars,” – Shmyhal noted.
According to the Prime Minister, after the end of the war, Ukraine will be able to quickly rebuild what was lost and destroyed.
