The Ukrainian national hockey team won its third straight victory at the World Championship in Division IB. The blue-yellows defeated the Chinese team with a score of 9:0.

The devastating score began with Igor Merezhko. Subsequently, Dmitry Khristich’s charges scored three more goals in the first period — distinguished Alexander Peresunko, Philipp Pangelov-Yuldashev and Alexey Vorona.
At the beginning of the second period Vitaly Lyalka sent the fifth puck into the Chinese goal, and before leaving for the break, Peresunko scored a double.

Lyalka scored the sixth goal against the opponent, scoring a double, and then Andrey Deniskin made the score 8:0. Merezhko put the final point in the meeting.
Ukraine and China were the first to start the third round. Now the blue-yellows have the maximum number of points — 9 after three rounds. In the first two matches, the Ukrainians defeated Estonia (8:0) and beat the Netherlands (4:0).
Next in the tournament are Lithuania (6 points in two games) and China (6 points in three games).

Division IV is the third strongest division of the world championship. To advance in class and enter Division IA, the Ukrainian national team needs to finish the tournament in first place.
