The crossing of two Russian missiles in Romanian airspace will affect Ukraine's status during the Rammstein meeting. This conflict is a powerful argument for the Ukrainian side in the context of Western military assistance.
About thisChannel 24political scientist Igor Reiterovich told. According to him, Russian aggression is also a threat to the neighboring countries of Ukraine, which are members of NATO.
Russia poses a threat to NATO countries
Igor Reytovich stressed that the latest news about the passage of enemy missiles over Romania has two meanings.
In his opinion, Air Force speaker Yuri Ignat made the right statement. In it, he said that the Armed Forces of Ukraine could have shot down the missiles, but did not do this, because they were worried about their partners: so that something that flew to Ukraine would not fall on their heads.
Political scientist explained that, firstly, the toughening of the position will concern security guarantees.
The more missile defense we get, the less these shelling or they will stop altogether,” he stressed.
According to him, under this condition, missile attacks will not bring even minimal results to the Russians.
“And there will be less risk that something will fly into NATO territory and lead to some kind of catastrophe, actually a terrorist act, and could bring the alliance into conflict with Russia,” he said.
However, Ukraine has one more argument as a sign of strengthening its positions.

Ukraine needs aviation from partners
Reiterovich said that Ukraine has a strengthening status in the context of receiving aircraft. Our military and politicians have repeatedly said that aviation is the means that is needed to shoot down a significant number of missiles that air defense cannot work on now.
“And they still need to be shot down as long as they take off from ships or planes and approach the borders of Ukraine,” he stressed.
In his opinion, this is a key position, given the likely threats to other countries.
The more we have these funds, the less they will fire and the less risk for NATO countries bordering Ukraine, he said.
The political scientist focused on the fact that Ukraine has a border with several NATO countries at once, so the potential danger is quite high. This argument should be used and discussed during the Ramstein meeting
Russian Missile Pass over Romania: Brief
- February 10, Russia launched a massive missile attack on Ukraine. In addition, two Russian Kalibr-type missiles crossed the airspace of Romania, which is a member of NATO.
- Valery Zaluzhny, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, said that first the Kalibr missiles crossed the border of Ukraine with Moldova, flew over the territory of Romania and again entered the airspace of Ukraine.
- Yury Ignat, the speaker of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, said that the Air Force had the ability to shoot down these enemy missiles. However, they understood the risks and threats to the population of a foreign state, so they did not do it.
- Now Romania does not confirm the passage of Russian missiles. They claim that they flew 35 kilometers to the border with the country. At the same time, Moldova has already confirmed the passage of missiles by the terrorist country.
