The Allies are preparing German Leopard 2 tanks for transfer to Ukraine. It is already known when our army will receive the first battalion of combat vehicles, which will destroy the invaders.
Let's make a reservation right away that we will have to wait for the transfer of Leopard 2 tanks. It is possible that by that time the Allies will decide on the transfer of fighters and other weapons that are no less important for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The first Leopard 2 battalion will be in the spring
German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said this during his visit to Warsaw. He did it on Wednesday, February 8th. According to the head of the defense department,the first battalion of Leopard 2 tanks will be handed over to Ukraine in the spring of 2023.
We could deliver at least one battalion during the first four months of this year – perhaps three months – and then we need to act as soon as possible, he stressed.
This means that we should expect< strong> around March-April of this year. Pistorius added that the tank battalion itself will have about 31 combat vehicles.

Germany announces new aid package
On February 8, it became known about the next package of military aid from Germany. As noted by the country's government, the list includes various weapons, including lethal ones. So our military will receive equipment that will allow them to destroy Russian invaders.
What is included in the new package:
- 2 Gepard self-propelled anti-aircraft guns and 6 thousand anti-aircraft ammunition (32 installations have been handed over all the time);
- 5 cars for border guards (120 all the time);
- 29 electric generators (245 all the time);
- 6 trucks with hook loading system (all time – 8);
- 6 mobile antenna systems (all time – 16);
- 10 containers.
As noted by the German Federal Government, for security reasons, information about the methods of transporting weapons is kept secret. The same applies to information about delivery times.
Recall that on the eve of Germany approved the decision to transfer 178 Leopard 1 tanks to our state. According to available information, by the summer we will receive 20-25 vehicles, and by the end of the year – about 80. And already during 2024, more than 100 of these tanks will be handed over to us.
