Ukraine will not be stuck in negotiations with the European Union for decades, since it has already passed this stage when it convinced the EU to give a perspective.
Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba stated this during a conversation on Instagram with TV presenter Vadim Karpyak.
— We have already passed this stage of sagging. I am absolutely convinced, and will make every effort as much as possible, that we will not be stuck in negotiations for decades. Europe has woken up from its lethargy and understands that there is no alternative to expansion, — he said.
According to him, negotiations on Ukraine’s accession will be difficult, because the club to which the state will belong will impose conditions — “this was the case with all countries”, — and Ukraine will defend its national interests and go through this path.

In addition, the head of Ukrainian diplomacy emphasized that the path that our state has covered in six months — “from zero to opening negotiations” — will go down in the history of the European Union, because, according to Kuleba, no other country has integrated into the EU in such a short time.
By the way, earlier Kuleba said that work on the decision to open introductory negotiations with the EU was one of the most difficult.
