Head of the Special Staff of Ukraine in the German Ministry of Defense Christian Freuding said, that mobilization is essential for our state. According to him, there are several reasons for this.

The German aid coordinator for Ukraine believes that our state will have to mobilize more people to replenish losses . This is also necessary for the restoration of units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

A German general explained why Ukraine needs mobilization

According to Freuding, Ukraine will certainly have to mobilize more soldiers. In particular, this will not happen simply due to the number of losses.

But also due to the fact that the troops, some of which have been at the front for 24 months, need regeneration, explained the German general.

Head of the Special Staff of Ukraine in the German Ministry of Defense also noted that the type and volume of mobilization is currently being discussed in our country. He noted that this is a political and social negotiation process, in which the demographic situation in Ukraine also plays a role.

“There is this gap between the age groups of 20 and 40 years old. Therefore Ukrainians should pay as much attention to the economic ability of their state as to its military ability,” he noted.

The Rada committee found nuances in the bill on mobilization

  • Deputy Chairman of the Rada Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence Yegor Chernev noted that the new version of the bill on mobilization is “somewhat better than the previous version. However, this document still has certain nuances.
  • In particular, one of the norms concerns the mobilization of people caring for persons with disabilities. And another controversial issue, according to Chernev, concerns subpoenas in the electronic office.
  • In the end, Chernev noted that the new bill on mobilization is still subject to discussion. The committee also wants to invite the Ministry of Defense and hear why the norms were not included and why some new ones appeared.
  • In addition, First Deputy Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Alexander Kornienko said during the briefing, that the bill on changing the rules of military service, mobilization and military registration may be adopted in the first reading this week.
