The Ukrainian state will definitely become a donor to global security.
President Vladimir Zelensky stated this in his evening address.
The main thing in the president’s address was the results of the first International Forum of Defense Industries, which the president called “very successful”.

— He showed global interest in the opportunity to work in Ukraine and with Ukraine in the production of weapons and everything that is necessary for the real defense of any free nation. Our new format with defense companies — this is theDefense Industries Alliance — as of this eveningthere are already 38 participating companies. They represent 19 countries of the world, — Zelensky said.
The President said that the countries included the USA, Great Britain, Germany, Sweden, Denmark, the Netherlands, Canada, Bulgaria, Australia, Belgium, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Czech Republic, North Macedonia, Slovakia, Spain, Croatia and Finland.
— This is very powerful for a start, and the work continues. More companies will join. Plus, our manufacturers signed 20 documents with partner companies at the Forum. Agreements, memorandums. Each such document then becomes a new production or strengthening of existing cooperation, — he said.
Vladimir Zelensky added that these include, in particular, agreements on joint production, exchange of technologies and supply of components. In addition, the production of gunpowder and ammunition, as well as personnel for the Ukrainian defense industry, was discussed.
— Separately and very carefully we are developing the Ukrainian production of drones, ground and sea autonomous systems, — he said.
The head of state also emphasized that in total more than 250 companies took part in our Defense Industries Forum. Among them — dozens of Ukrainian companies.
The Ukrainian leader added that work is now underway to produce air defense systems in Ukraine.
— When, over time, we see and feel in real action the maximum armed power of Ukraine — our manufacturers, our defense industry, our new cooperation with the world, — we can say that the beginning of this was laid right now, precisely in such agreements as at the Forum and as during my visits, in particular to America, Sweden and other countries. All the strongest are already cooperating or will cooperate with Ukraine.
Our state will become one of the world's key producers of weapons and defense systems. And this is no longer just an ambition or a prospect, it is a potential that has begun to be realized. I thank everyone whose work — These are exactly the results for Ukraine, — said the President.
Vladimir Zelensky admitted that despite Ukrainian ambitions, today Ukraine is a recipient, that is, a recipient of security assistance.
— But our state can and will definitely become a donor to global security. In particular, thanks to our defense industry. Thanks to the strength, resilience and invincibility of our people, — he said.
Day of Defenders and Defenders of Ukraine
Separately, the president emphasized that tomorrow — October 1 — a very important day for Ukraine.
— Day of Defenders and Defenders of Ukraine. Millions who not only preserved Ukraine’s worthy place in the history of mankind, but also ensure that our people and our state do not lose their history, fight for their lives and freedom and inspire the entire free world with their struggle, — he said.
The President said that tomorrow Ukrainians should especially thank all defenders and defenders and honor the memory of those who gave their lives for Ukraine.
— For the first time this day — Pokrov — will be October 1st. And let's make our new tradition for this day. October 1st. Nine in the morning. Wherever you are — on the main street of your city or just at home, — Let's stop for a minute and honor in silence the memory of our fallen defenders and defenders and think about those who are now in battle, on combat missions, at posts. Who saves lives. Who protects — in every sense of the word — our people and state. There would be no strength and will of Ukraine if not for everyone who came to the defense of Ukraine, — he said.
