In the first eight months of 2024, Ukraine has doubled its weapons production compared to the entire 2023.
This was reported by Head of the Cabinet of Ministers Denys Shmyhal.

— In 2023, weapons production in Ukraine increased threefold, and in the first eight months of this year we increased production by another two times since 2023. That is, we are progressing.
And first of all, we increased the production of UAVs. We created a drone market, opening up opportunities for business, for enterprises, — the head of government indicated.
Shmygal also pointed out that contracts with international partners gave a significant boost to the development of the Ukrainian military-industrial complex.

— We will continue to develop this area, when Ukrainian production receives funds from partners, partners buy weapons of Ukrainian production for the Ukrainian army. We provide parallel repair and maintenance of such equipment, and this is much more profitable and reliable for our military, — he said.
According to the prime minister, much attention in the production of weapons is paid to the development of long-range systems.
— Our goal is to reach a level where the production of a large number of various equipment, nomenclature, is localized in Ukraine: from cartridges to shells, to batteries, — Shmygal summarized.
