In the West, internal pressure is growing on the importance of transferring equipment to Ukraine to win the war with Russia. The process of supporting the Ukrainian side with military equipment is really underway.
The head of the Center for Military Legal Research Oleksandr Musiyenko told Channel 24 about this. According to him, very soon Ukraine will be able to receive equipment in the required quantity.
How Ukraine uses equipment from the West
Alexander Musienko said that first you need to form a tank brigade as soon as possible in order to have it in combat readiness sometime in the spring. We are talking about 100 tanks, mostly Leopard 2.
“This is the ideal plan that is being talked about,” he stressed.
According to him, I would like to get up to 300 tanks. However, Western partners are focusing on the formation of not only tank brigades, but also mechanized brigades, which will have combined armored vehicles of various types in combination with tanks.
“The idea is that they should be fast, maneuvering mechanized brigades, and not just tank brigades, which are mainly armed with tanks,” Musienko noted.
The head of the Center for Military Legal Studies explained that the issue of transferring armored vehicles to Ukraine is being resolved faster and lighter.
200 vehicles Canada will now provide at least 50 M2 Bradleys that have been announced, as well as 40 Marders. This is already 290. And one more thing that France is transmitting. It can already be said that there will be more than 300,” he stressed.
Musienko noted that this issue was already half resolved even before the meeting in the Ramstein format. In addition, Ukraine will receive M109A6 Paladin howitzers from the United States as part of two previous aid packages.
“M109A6 Paladin and AS-90 from Britain can total 50-60 units. This is not a few hundred, but this is also the support provided,” he stressed.
Musienko added, that these are quite efficient, fast, high-precision vehicles capable of inflicting powerful defeats on opponents.

Activation of Western partner countries
Alexander Musienko commented that such success in the transfer of equipment is evidence that there is a positive reaction from the West and the activation of partners.
These are not the same numbers whom the command said, but we see that the process is really underway, he stressed.
According to him, not only the Ukrainian side and its representatives, but also partners speak about the need for technical equipment of the army from the West.
“If you look at some Western media, for example, American ones, you can see that there is even growing pressure on the American government, the governments of the EU countries, NATO because of the need to intensify and strengthen assistance to Ukraine,” he added.< /p>
In his opinion, the West now clearly knows why Ukraine needs support.
“There is an understanding that Russia needs to be defeated in this war and this can only be done by providing Ukraine with the equipment in the amount it needs,” the head of the Center for Military Legal Studies said.
He stressed that there are definitely shifts in the transfer of equipment.
